The Ira Ingerman Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Welcome to the Ira Ingerman Entrepreneurship Award!

The Award, presented by Yazamut360 at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, is now accepting applications for its inaugural competition. Do you have a successful entrepreneurship project that you would like to be recognized for? Are you a leader and role model among your peers? If so, we encourage you to apply for this prestigious award.

For the first time, Yazamut360 entrepreneurship center will present an award to excellent entrepreneurs!

Requirements:

The successful entrepreneur has initiated, founded, and created a new endeavor/ entrepreneurial project.

The student's venture must be up and running and must have a clear benefit and contribution to a cause

Students must be consistent, exemplary role models and have demonstrated true leadership in their endeavors

Recognition and visibility:

Winning the award can be a great way for students to get recognition for their hard work and to showcase their projects to a wider audience. It can also be an opportunity to build a professional network and make connections with other entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.

Selection and review Process:

The top three finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges of the Yazamut360 team, in collaboration with external judges from the university management.

Finalists will be presented to BGU President and the final three candidates will be shared and approved by the Ingerman family.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award is in its first year and has been established in the memory of Ira M
Ingerman, a long-time benefactor of Ben Gurion University and a successful entrepreneur in his own right who
believed in the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship to improve the lives of others. He believed
that in order to create a better world, we need to have courage to take risks and resilience to persevere
through obstacles to achieve our dreams. The intent of the Award is to encourage and reward an “outside the
box” approach to solving problems and cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit among student leaders at Ben
Gurion University.
